Our programs help young children learn through guided play and physical movement and exploration to keep young children engaged. Our staff recognizes, as psychologists do, that hands on learning and active engagement allows children to develop essential motor, cognitive and communication skills; every moment is a learning opportunity.

Engaging toddler activities also support emergent literacy and early language exposure. We dedicate time each day to reading with our little learners where we tell stories that are exciting, inspiring, captivating and developmentally appropriate. We help children play movement games to improve their coordination and motor development. Our toddler activities use all of a child’s senses to stimulate their curiosity about the world. Finally, self-expression is encouraged, including through art, music and group involvement.
Parent communication is our number one priority. We make every effort to communicate with parents regarding their toddlers. We weigh heavily on maintaining regular communication with parents regarding their children’s development and learning with the use of daily reports, memos of progress, or opportunities for parent-teacher conferences. We highly value and collaboratively build upon parents’ involvement and contribution to their child’s approach to their education. Maintaining an effective relationship will allow us to support the child’s development more effectively and to begin to build a partnership to foster their ongoing development and growth.
We prioritize safety in the Toddler Program. Our space is properly outfitted with age-appropriate toys and equipment and safety practices are implemented to ensure a safe environment for toddlers to be active and exploring. All staff members of the Academy are trained in First Aid/CPR, to ensure the safety of children in the unlikely event of an emergency or safety practices needing to take place.
At Roswell Child Care Academy, we absolutely believe that early childhood education is the most important foundation for a lifetime of education. Our Toddler Program promotes and encourages children of this age to be learning and developing in our nurturing and safe environment.
